The fact that our dear friends came over this afternoon
it was a nice surprise
These friends are a family of 4 - the mum works as a nurse
the father is a special platonic friend of mine and a house dad
their son went through play group and then kindy with Daniel
and they have a slightly younger daughter who still goes to kindy
when the boys went to school (different ones) we agreed they should still see each other from time to time - they were best friends
so on the way home this afternoon Daniel decided he wanted to go to the park half way between home and school. Just as we were approaching the park we saw our friends coming to meet us. The kids played on the playground and up the hill (within sight) for a while
then we came home and fueled up (cold drinks and yoghurts) and played some more
it was nice seeing them again :) :) :)

Glad you had such a nice day. It's a pity the boys have to attend different schools but will be nice if they can stay in touch and play together from time to time. Could you perhaps fix a play date once or month so that meetings don't slide?

I'm glad that things worked out so nicely today. Unexpected surprises (the good kind) are always a blessing. :)
That sounds lovely. Sophie is really good friends with an old work colleague of mine, who lives in a different part of Welly. They just 'clicked' when they first met and have been really close for a couple of years. So sweet! We have to organize meet-ups from time to time too. Nice :)
