FOR TODAY... 28 June

Outside my window. . . a fine cold winters day

I am listening to...the TV the boys are watching it

I am thinking... how good is that we home school and therefore can choose when and where we homeschool

Im not feeling very well

so we have decided to have this week off and school next week

and then have the 2nd week of the school holidays like the rest of New Zealand children will

I am thankful for...a friend who wanted to cheer me up yesterday

I am wearing... blue top under a black and white jumper, blue pants, light purple toe socks and green crocs

I am going... to take it easy this week

I am currently reading... Amazing Grace by Danielle Steele

Yesterday I was swallowed up in a deep dark hole

I couldnt see forward

I wailed I cried

I was lost

I was full of hopelessness

There was nothing I could do

it was hopeless

nor did I have the energy to do anything

I was completely drained

I couldnt stop the tears

the bucket of sorrow was pouring out

I couldnt do anything

the blackness took over

enveloping me

drowning me in its deep darkness

All I wanted to do was sleep and if I didnt wake again

so much the better

B14 came and told me the aim of a Facebook Game we have been playing

is to get married and have a baby

to live happily ever after

what is that

I dont know if it really happens

By the evening I began to remember who I was suppose to be

My own best friend

who was meant to nurture that special person

This morning Im feeling better

its not until I come out one of these episodes

that I realize what a mess I was in

A friend asked yesterday

what all this is doing to B14

upon reflection it makes me angry

that depression robbed us of a day of homeschooling

Im resentful that certain people have the ability to take me to the hole

throw me in

and leave me there

gloating

Its what they want

its not what I want

and so the fight goes on

My Back

My Back

On Sunday I woke with pain incredible pain in my back

I could hardly walk

it made me want to cry

its all better again now thank goodness

I dont know what tiggers my back to get like that

it also causes pain in my leg

Ive had a bad back for years

I remember when Grace Kelly died because I was having physio on it at the time

I was lying on the bed at the physio getting a treatment when it came on the news

A friend (a nurse) told me the other day it comes with getting older

she said its to do with gravity

and I must admit since she told me that I do feel a strong pulling sensation in my back when it does still twinge slightly

Only trouble is and it makes me question whether I will be able to fulfill my goal

of being a fit older lady with energy

I dont want to be one of those ladies who sits around

part of the reason I have my job is to keep me fit in preparation for this goal to be fulfilled

Outside my window. . . dunno havent looked yet although it does feel like a bit warmer morning

I am listening to...my quietly whirring away working

I am thinking... how grateful that my back feels almost better again today

yesterday it was SORE!!!

must get on and find some exercises I can do for it to hopefully prevent yesterday happening again
I was in agony

I am thankful for...as I said my back feeling better than it was

I am wearing... my dressing gown gonna dressed soon

I am going... to clean up the house this morning, home school and pick D4 up this afternoon

I am currently reading... Find me a River - Bronwyn Blake - Im a slower read but its a good book

I am hoping...to get out and do a bit more work this afternoon

One of my favorite things . . .playing yoville and frontier on FB and contrary to what my ex thinks Im NOT on the computer all the time

Few Plans for the Rest of the Week . . .just the usual and talk to B14s Granddad about the $$ for the next year of Corrospondance school

For almost a week the skies above Napier have reminded me of the noise one hears at the World Cup made by the Vuvzela.

The buzz here airplanes flying over head. The Royal New Zealand Air Force who are training here and have set up their deployment operation base at the airport. This is to give their handsome young pilots the opportunity to fly in an unfamiliar air space.

Today there was an open day so B14 and I went along

My Youngest has Asthma :(

D4 has been coughing for a while in the middle of the night

I took him to the doctor yesterday afternoon and he has asthma

He is now on medicine with an inhaler

:( All my children have suffered from asthma when they have been young

Thankfully the older 2 have grown out of it

The doctor was really good about it

He must know our circumstances that D4 spends the week with me and his brother and the weekends with his dad

He gave us 2 sets of medicine and inhalers

One for us to use at home and one for D4 to keep at his dads

A Song That Made Me Think

When I was a child this use to be one of my favourite songs

Today as I was busy doing housework and keeping an eye on B14 doing his

home schooling

I sang to B14 to "put another log on the fire"

As I went back to the dishes I thought about how sexist this song is

My views have certainty changed since I was a child

I believe a family should consist of all people lending a hand

whether they be female or male

Upon reading through the lyrics its little wonder she wants to leave him

Men dont treat your woman as slaves

cherish them

love them

and treat them as your Queen

am I asking too much

too bad

Im not expecting anything less anymore

Maybe one of the reasons I liked this song was it catchy tune

A Simple Piece of Firewood or Two

I LOVE D4s great imagination

I took these shots last night

and in a minute this boat is going to flip over!! Theres a shark at the bottom of my boat. I can see a baby shark."

Outside my window. . . its fine :) yaye I was thinking yesterday morning that as much as I dont like the cold that winter brings I can manage better if its fine

I am listening to...the fire roaring warming up the lounge

I am thinking... the day ahead

I am thankful for...tech savvy son :) He introduced me to a new game on the computer yesterday :)

I am wearing... my dressing gown gonna dressed soon

I am going... to clean up the house this morning, after I pick D4 up this afternoon we are going to go and see B14s private tutor for our mid term catch up

I am currently reading... Find me a River - Bronwyn Blake - one of the books I got from the book fair on Saturday

I am hoping... to keep warm I want the Summer

Few Plans for the Rest of the Week . . .to stuff organized so B14 can start his 2nd year with the Correspondence School. Ill need to talk to his CS superior and then to his Granddad - who has access to the family trust which pays for it

Saturday

Yesterday morning I was woken up at 630ish by B14. Off we went to his paper run. Ive got him in training to take over his paper run in the summer time. He like most teenagers I dare say finds it hard to wake up early.

Then I went and got 2 new tires for my car. One had a whooping BIG nail in it, the other had no tread left. The people at Tonys were really good. Washing my windows, pumping all my tires up and giving me a cup of free coffee.

Next B14 and I went to an annual book sale. I got 3 new books, a collection of Little Golden Books for D4 and a couple of books for Billy. I LOVE Little Golden Books and while I will be reading them to D4 I will keep them in my collection so they dont get ruined in any way.

After working in the afternoon I came home and dyed my hair. The greys were really becoming to much for me to stand. As the dye did it stuff I read and soaked in the bath. Then I painted my nails too.

I am thankful for... God whose always just right there :)

I am going... to clean up the house, after I pick D4 up this afternoon we are going to go and play at one of friends from kindys house - hes been asking to play there for a while and as today is Queens Birthday here in New Zealand we will :)

UPDATE They werent home so went and saw another friend :) D4 had fun playing hide and seek except he gets too excited and cant stay quiet

I am hoping... it fine on Wednesday when I do my catalogue drop

Sunday Afternoon

B14 had the flu last week

today he had cabin fever

so this afternoon we went and ate our late lunch here (in the car)

and went for a little walk but it was too cold

then we went and popped in for a coffee at a friends :)

Last night I was awoken by a earthquake it was nearly midnight

it was a magnitude of 4

so it wasnt too bad

I however dont like earthquakes

the fact that this is the first one I have felt since moving to our house on the hill is in my opinion very good
