New Washing Machine & Granddad

As I may have mentioned my washing machine has been causing me problems
First it started leaking water
which I mopped up but it seeped through the floor and made part of the roof downstairs fall in
The landlord fixed that problem at no cost to me - bless him

So I took the washing machine outside and used it running a hose into it
Which worked alright for about a week
then it decided it would pump the water out but not wash the clothes

So I used the laundromat but decided very fairly quickly that it actually is more expensive than I can really afford
I wondered how I was going to fix that problem

I remembered Granddad and his offer to help if I ever needed it
This is B14s Granddad
He has access to a family trust
As well as that he is a wonderfully caring supportive man
He is the closest thing B14 has to a dad
He really cares

B14s dad doesnt give a fig
When B14 was little I walked away from his dad who was abusive
(I always pick the wrong men - never again - God is the only man for me now)
Although B14s dad saw him in the holidays for the first couple of years he hasnt bothered since
Granddad on the other hand has always cared
B14 goes for an annual holiday there at New Years and he has given B14 opportunities he wouldnt have without it
again thanks to the trust that Granddad oversees B14 would never have had without his support
His schooling and private tutor (whom really helps him get helps him with his learning difficulties) , his drama, his annual holiday, his most important male figure in his life
Grandad rings up often to see how we all are and if hes ever up this way stays with us
Hes a real blessing

So anyway I didnt really like to do it but I asked Granddad and today we got this

B14 is more excited about the huge box thats nearly as big as he is
He wants to hide in it and surprise his little bro when he comes home from kindy and his weekly visit to me to see his friend from play group days

So glad that B14's Granddad could help. B14 sounds like a typical male, seeing the carton as somewhere to hide for a practical joke rather than appreciating the contents. Now if you'd set him to doing the family wash by hand whilst awaiting a new machine I bet his reaction would have been different!!!

That's very cheeky of B14 for wanting to scare D4. LOL!
