How I managed to get the waves
In response to a question to a question I was asked on Monday about my hair
After my shower in the evening I plait it while its wet and wear it like that all night in the morning I under do it and I have waves :)

Ah, that was what a girl at the village school used to do - or rather her granny with whom she lived did that with her hair each night. Then in the daytime it hung down her back in lovely ripply waves held back from her face with an Alice band.
My hair never took a wave very well when short and when I was at last allowed to grow it and have it in plaits, Mum insisted that it must be plaited in the daytine so that it was always tidy. That was the deal - if I wanted long hair it was to be plaited (not even a pony tail was allowed once it was really long) otherwise it would be cut short and Granddad would trim it on the first thursday of each month.
