Yesterday was a blue grey day
After dropping D4 with his dad
B14 and I went to the funeral to say goodbye to a dear friend
she only suffered 14 months mercifully
A real Proverbs 31 lady
It was pouring down outside
and in the church
I held in so much of what I was feeling
resulting in somehow putting my neck out
and giving myself an aching head for the rest of the day
In the afternoon I trudged along through the rain collecting my catalogues
Still the rain poured
and my head ached
Today I awoke with the alarm clock at 630
This morning I scurried along with my trusty old $8 mountain buggy
delivering newspapers along the way
up and down the hills
Autumn seems to really have come to the Bay
here and there I see a carpet of red, yellow and brown leaves like a carpet on the road
I see a boat awaiting a tug boat or two to pull it in
I am rewarded with great views and
The sun rises promising a better day today

Funerals seem to take place much more quickly after a death in NZ than they do here. Here, especially if you want a cremation, you sometimes have to wait ten days or a fortnight. I was considered fortunate to get Kate cremated exactly a week after her death.
I hope the funeral was nice, a celebration of her life. One blessing is she is no longer suffering. Take care.
oh Jen!!! I am sorry, your day of saying goodbye to your friend should have been much nicer! You work so hard too! Take Care - Rachaelxo

I'm sorry to hear about the passing of your friend but yes, she's with the Lord now and that's the best thing.
