ou may be puzzled by the title of my post
I feel as if I am having 2 Christmas days this year
which may actually foil my ex
he likes to upset me
more about that soon
we woke at the reasonable time of 7ish
after Daniel found and unwrapped the presents in his room from Santa
we moved into the lounge and took turns at unwrapping the presents under the tree
this forced the hurricane Daniel to slow down a little :)
I am a generous person and decided to give the ex a phone call as I was under the impression that we would be having Daniel all day as he had him last year
and this call would allow Daniel a chance to talk to his dad
misunderstanding had taken place and I cried in the bathroom unbeknown to Daniel
his dad was demanding that he have him from 1130 am on
we had had plans
however after rereading the emails we had sent each other
and consulting my sister and wise daughter I decided that I had indeed misworded my plans for today and that Daniel indeed must be with his dad from about lunch time on
Sarah again my beautiful wise daughter asked me if I was going to waste the time we had with Daniel crying in the bathroom or make the most of the time we had
thus we breakfasted outside in the sun and played with Daniel
After dropping Daniel off
we came back home ate ham, homemade chips, biscuits and watched dvds
Sarah and I even got an hours walk in :)
Tomorrow Daniel comes home at 10 and we will celebrate the 2nd part of what should have happened today :)

Hey, Jen. I sympathize. Our Christmas didn't turn out as we planned either. Jayden took a turn for the worse and we were in the hospital all day while he had tests done, thinking he was going to have another operation tonight. Looks like he's avoided the operation, but he's still not doing well. I sincerely hope your Christmas part 2 goes wonderfully tomorrow ;) *hugs*
Sorry things did not go to plan BUT you were sensible to reread the emails and see that there had been a misundersanding. It was a pity since the ex had him last Christmas BUT misunderstandings do happen and it would have wrecked everything if there had been a battle royal over it. I think you were all VERY sensible.
Next year, why not suggest that one of you has Daniel ALL day Christmas day and the other has him ALL day Boxing Day? Whoever has him Chrstmas Day next year has him Boxing Day the year after. Now the ex is in Napier, that would be the simplest and easiest solution.
That's a bugger Jen, but it's lovely that Daniel will get TWO special days. Enjoy today :)
