Last night I went to a open air/outdoor screening free showing of the movie Mama Mia.
I met some people from church there and sat with them :)
I sang and sang and sang :)
Oh and I also won a free dinner which I shall receive a ticket for within the next week for being at least a 3rd generation European descendant. Thanks to my great great possibly great grand parents Sarah and John Massey. I was among quite a few getting this prize.
Oh and I took my camera but it didnt have the memory stick in it - I found out later. So the photos I took last night are stuck in the camera :(
This was event was a lead up to our Waitangi weekend. I was a little surprised but was pleased that the host possible Maori or an Islander reminded us that today is the National Holiday of New Zealand. This is how I would like Waitangi Day to be thought of. One country shared by many nationalities. Unfortunity all too often the day is marred by protesters :(

It's such a shame when our national day becomes a day to cause problems. It should be a fun happy day for us all. Congrats on the free dinner!
hey Jen, sounds wonderful, glad you had fun :-)
John and Sarah were your 2nd ie great great grandparents. John's sister Thomasin was my great grandmother. All John and Sarah's children were born after their arrival in NZ so, by my reckoning, you are the 5th generation of European descent.
totally agree thanks LS
thanks Amy
thanks for the clarification Meg
