Please Pray

Tonight at 6pm B14 was cooking dinner steak. The oil burnt him.
I put him in the bath for 5 minutes then took him to the doctors
He has very bad blistering by his toes
he now has it bandaged and is on pain killers
hes still in a LOT of pain though
he has to go back to the doctors sometime over the weekend

Friday Morning

This morning B14 told me that he wasnt feeling well
so Ive given him the day off home schooling with instructions to stay on the couch or in his bed

On a Friday morning I take D4 to the meeting place to give him to his father for the weekend
We got there slightly early
no sight of his dad
waited 15 minutes

went to church (nearest place where I could use a phone)
rang his dad
who was surprised to hear from me
he reckoned that because I went away last weekend I had said I wanted this weekend
I have 1 weekend in 4
last weekend should have been mine but because I chose to go and see Cliff I had forgone my weekend
I never said anything about D4 making it up with me
I had after all chosen to go away

The ex said well if D4 wants to come Ill come and get him
LOL maybe I should have asked D4???
The mind wonders what he would have said
I told the ex that he was ready and as always I know that its good for D4 to spend time with his dad

I told the ex that I wasnt going back to the meeting place again
Id already been there
hed have to come and get him from church
he agreed

While we were waiting D4 and I played with the train tracks
our church has a play group as well as a church
it was a nice time together before we separated for the weekend

Bless My Boss

The other day my boss gave me 2 pairs of these
and they are really comfy :)

Cats :)

as reading The Hawkes Bay in bed the other night
I read an interesting article that said I told B14 and he said that just on our road alone
According to the New Zealand Pet Food Manufacturers Association, New Zealand's pet ownership statistics are one of the highest in the world. They say, “Over 53 percent of households own at least one cat and 18 percent own two or more, making it the highest cat ownership rate in the world. That is more than a million cats!
Frank and Muriel Newman are the authors of Living off the Smell of an Oily Rag in NZ.
I told B14 and he said that the next door neighbours boy and he had done a study and just on our road alone every household owes a cat. They reckon if you live on our street and dont a cat youd be the odd ones out :)

Simple Womans Day Book

FOR TODAY... 2nd March

Outside my window. . . all is dark still its just turned 6am

I am listening to... silence :)

I am thinking... my mind is full of ponderings this morning. Full of memories of the weekend. Full of the fact that Im having a hard time spiritually - an incident occured yesterday that I want to act upon but I know I shouldnt - its not my place to take revenge and its not my place to judge - I need to leave it up to God

I am thankful for... my loving Father God - He sees all and knows all

I am wearing... my yellow summer dressing gown

I am currently reading... nothing finished the latest read last night :)

I am hoping... my day is a little less busy than yesterday - yesterday I gave B14 the day off home schooling. He did the relay for life in the weekend and was tired. I spent from 10 - 5 pounding the streets. I did my catologues and I also did B4s paper round - my feet were had it by the end of the day

Around the house... the dishes need doing as does the vacuuming

One of my favorite things . . Cliff :) If you hadnt guessed. Yesterday as I was pounding the streets I had his songs playing in my head :)

A Few Plans for the Rest of the Week . . . nothing special happening just the same old :)

From my picture journal.. this morning I want to leave you with one of the songs that is a tribute to my great weekend away and something that is becoming a life song for me - I feel that God is prompting me to remain single from now on :) Its ok being alone. I always have God :) And it certainty promises less pain for me :) :) :) Sometimes when I sing this I change the word boy to girl :)

This Weekend

This weekend I took a approximate 4 hour trip from Napier (B) to New Plymouth (A) and back again

As usual I dropped B4 with his father on Friday morning. B14 and I did school work on Friday morning as per usual. In the afternoon we got ourselves organised for the weekend, Both packing a bag. I also cleaned the inside of the car.

On Saturday morning I did the paper run as per usual. Then I dropped B14 with some people from church. They are all doing the Relay for Life. Its B14s 2nd year :) He reckons hes gonna do the night walks, He is such a night owl.

Alone :) :) :) Child free :) :) :) I set off :)

While I was having a home made picnic lunch I was intrigued as to what the 'mushroom' was. So as I was eating my apple I took a walk up the street :) I ended up asking at a petrol station a little further down the road.

I arrived in New Plymouth an hour earlier than I had first told the lady I was staying with :) After having a coffee with her. I headed off to the CLIFF RICHARD AND THE SHADOWS CONCERT.
It was fab :) The concert began with Cliff's special support guest our very own John Rowles. About the only thing I have to fault the concert with is that the organizers didnt put John Rowles up on the screen like they did Cliff. It was very hard to see John performing.

All too soon the concert was finished. I could have listened all night long too Cliff and The Shadows. That would be rather greedy though. This is the 3rd time I have ever seen Cliff (I saw him twice when I was living in Auckland. He is still has good as ever.
I hope I have his energy when I am 69 :) They were all so GOOD!!!!

After the concert I finally found my car. At first I had been walking down the hill instead of down once Id sorted that out and let me say I wasnt the only one. Getting out the venue proved troublesome to quite a few people. I headed back to my friends and settled down for the night - I put up "curtains" and slept in my car :) I wanted too :)

After a restful nights sleep and I had had breakfast I attended New Plymouth Bible Chapel. I felt blessed as there was a baptism. Everyone was friendly and I was in awe of their Sunday School room - so big - compared with ours :)

Then I started on my way home. I stopped at a interesting little town for my lunch and then a little walk to look at their clocktower

I had a good trip home the weather was marvelous this weekend

Ive put these 2 sites as they were of interest to me
some people reckon wind farms arent good and spoil the look of the country side I dont agree :)
I LOVE driving however the Manawatu Gorge while not being very long was scary - I dont like heights nor falling

As I was getting towards home I decided I should do go away (once a month) by myself again - its good for me to get away and have a break :)
